Projects of the Everyday initiated by OSCA

I am very pleased to present to you my socially engaged art project Bestowed – a poetic art service of listening and recycling that is taking place specifically in the Adelaide Hills.

Bestowed ask people to engage in conversation about objects they have been given that they also no longer want to keep. It aims to unravel the complexities and expectations of gifts that they may want to get rid of but have not felt comfortable to do so or found the right way to part with it. Till now!

Bestowed seeks to explore the social and practical complexities involved in the burden of an unwanted gift whilst experimenting with rituals of disposal as a public service.

This project is being created in partnership with the arts organisation OSCA – Open Space Contemporary Arts as part of their Projects of the Everyday SA artists commissioning initiative.
