My first project in public space, a display of a washing line with huge, colourful items of everyday clothing.
I was inspired by the everyday chores I had as a young mother, my transformed city residence now filled with drying clothes. I wanted to break out of the confinement of the domestic wall. Rather then being shamed by hanging my washing to dry outside my window and by that giving insight into my life, I wanted to promote the idea of the public as a shared space, to be used.
